mintBlue was founded in the Netherlands to solve one problem: enterprises and governments need to share sensitive data, between departments and with other organisations, but traditional systems force them to choose between transparency and control.

We built privacy-preserving event streaming that runs next to an organisation's own systems. It has three parts: a connector next to the databases already there, an event stream between departments and organisations with no broker or hub you have to trust, and an audit trail of every exchange. Privacy-enhancing technologies (PET) make sure each party sees only what it is entitled to.

We build real-time VAT verification with the Netherlands Tax Administration (Belastingdienst), work that won an Innovation Award from the Dutch Ministry of Finance. For the Ministry of Justice and Security, a bank, a payment provider, a webshop, a parcel carrier and the police share fraud signals through mintBlue, and with the same Ministry we developed a blueprint for warm referrals for fraud victims. With the National Office for Identity Data (RvIG) we built proof of origin for passport photos.

mintBlue is led by Niels van den Bergh (CEO), who leads enterprise and government adoption, and Pieter Den Dooven (CTO), who built the platform and leads engineering.
